Man Stole XBox In Brick Car Burglary Spree: PD
The man was identified in part through residential video surveillance footage, police said.

BRICK, NJ — A man accused stealing an XBox, designer sunglasses and other items from unlocked vehicles on Adamston Road has been arrested, Brick Township police said Friday.
Gabriel Mosier, 33, of Brick, was arrested Tuesday at the Wawa on Brick Boulevard, Brick Sgt. Jim Kelly said. He had been identified after an investigation into the string of burglaries that happened in late July on Adamston Road and nearby Morsell Drive. Mosier has been charged with several counts of defiant trespass, burglary and theft.
He was identified as the suspect after reports taken by patrol officers and video footage from the homes of nearby residents gave Brick police "a small pool of suspects to follow up with," Kelly said.

Mosier is accused of looking into vehicles parked in front of homes during the night, checking to see if they were locked by pulling on the handles, entering unlocked vehicles and stealing various items from those vehicles. In addition to an XBox and sunglasses, Mosier is accused of stealing loose change and a security camera that was mounted on a tree outside of a residence, among other items.
Warrants had been issued for Mosier's arrest in mid-August, Kelly said, and on Tuesday about 10:30 a.m. he was seen near Brick Boulevard by Sgt. Erik Olsen and Detective Bernardino. They called Detective Joseph Leskowski to alert him and Leskowski and Patrolman John Ziobro arrived. Olsen and Alvarado saw Mosier go in an office building on Brick Boulevard then walk over to Wawa 10 minutes later. As Mosier got into a black Honda Civic parked at the Wawa, Leskowski approached and arrested Mosier. He was charged and taken to the Ocean County Jail, Kelly said.

Mosier has a prior arrest on charges of shoplifting $34.64 in merchandise from the Walmart in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, in 2008, according to a Pottstown Mercury report.
Kelly said the security footage assisted in the investigation, and Brick Township police are in the process of partnering with Ring and the Neighbors app to make it easier to work with the community this way.
"More information will be released on this partnership in the coming weeks as the program is currently still in the development stage," Kelly said.
The Brick Township Police Department would like to remind our residents to remove any valuables from their vehicles at night and to keep their vehicles locked.
