Meet World Series Champion Howard Johnson at Ocean County Mall

Shoppers at Ocean County Mall will have a chance to meet a beloved member of the 1986 World Champion New York Mets on Saturday, October 22.

Presented by FishBarn Promotions, Howard Johnson, affectionately known as HoJo, will meet and sign autographs in Center Court from 12 to 3 p.m. for fans that purchase a $25 ticket. The cost of the ticket includes one autograph and inscriptions are free. Wristbands will be distributed to the first 300 attendees, starting at 11:30 a.m.

Johnson is a two-time World Series champion, winning as a member of both the Detroit Tigers and the New York Mets, where he spent the majority of his career as a third baseman. A two-time All Star, the switch-hitting Johnson displayed a rare mix of power and speed in his prime; hitting over 30 home runs and stealing over 30 bases in the same season on three separate occasions.

Johnson’s appearance is part of the Sports Card and Memorabilia Show, a three-day event held in Center Court from Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23 during regular mall hours.
