Midstreams Bridge In Brick Closing For 3 Weeks

The closure is necessary to demolish the support beams and construct a temporary deck, police said.

BRICK, NJ — The Midstreams Road Bridge will be closed for about three weeks starting next Wednesday, Nov. 8, the Brick Township Police Department said Friday.

The closure is part of the ongoing bridge reconstruction project. The police department said it was notified by the Ocean County Engineering Office that the bridge must be closed for demolition of the existing beams and construction of a temporary slab for travel.

The full closure is anticipated to begin on or about Nov. 8 and, regardless of work progress, opened for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend northbound, with the closure ending Nov. 23.
