Moms Who Rock: Renee Batchelor, Brick

For more than 100 years, we have take n a day to honor mothers -- those women who care for others, whether it’s by virtue of having given birth or because they are simply giving souls who watch over all of those around them.

We gave our readers the chance to tell us about their mothers and what makes them special. Here is one of those nominations:

Renee Batchelor, Brick

My mom rocks because she does everything for her children. My mom was a teenage mom who fought to raise her children right. She worked two jobs while being a single mom of two. Today she still works her butt off but only because she loves to work. She does a lot for her family, not just her children, but her husband too. She will bend over backwards to do what she can for her children. My mom even adopted three children. She makes sure she has time for each of us. She’s a great mom.
