1,000 Homes Without Power In Brick, Point Pleasant Beach Amid Storm
Breaking: Thunderstorms moving across the state have knocked out power to about 5,000 in Monmouth and Ocean counties, JCP&L says.

About 5,000 homes and businesses were without power Friday evening in Ocean and Monmouth counties as a second line of thunderstorms moved across the state.
According to the First Energy outage map, about 1,500 homes in the Midstreams section were without electricity as of 9:45 p.m., with another 100 out in Point Pleasant Beach.
Another 3,200 homes were without power in Monmouth County, with roughly 700 affected in Howell Township, 500 in the area on the north side of the Manasquan Reservoir, 100 in the Fort Plains area and another 100 off Casino Drive at Lemon Road.
