Motor Vehicle Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Brick Woman
The woman was one of two arrested in the Monmouth County incident on Saturday, according to court records.

UNION BEACH, NJ -- Two women, including one from Brick Township, were arrested Saturday on drug charges in Union Beach, according to criminal complaints filed with the Monmouth County courthouse.
Ariana V. Knittel, 32, of Lake Shore Drive in Brick, and Ashley N. Russo, 28, of Lauckson Place, Point Pleasant, were arrested in the Monmouth County town after a motor vehicle stop, according to court documents.
Knittel is charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine in a motor vehicle. Her bail was set at $1,250, no 10 percent, by Municipal Court Judge Michael Pugliese. She remained at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute, Freehold Township, as of Monday, according to online jail records.

Russo is charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine in a motor vehicle, and Pugliese set her bail at $1,250, no 10 percent on those charges. She is additionally being held in lieu of $500 bail on theft charges, according to Monmouth County Corrections records. Where the theft charge originates was unknown, according to the online records.
