Need A Beach Toy? Students Create Sharing Bin At Brick Beach III
Students in the Early Act Club at Emma Havens Young decorated the bin, which allows people to borrow toys during their day at the beach.
BRICK, NJ — Going to the beach can be a lot of work for a parent taking young children. Packing up beach towels and chairs and blankets and snacks ... it can be easy to forget something.
If you find yourself at Brick Beach III without toys, there's now a place to borrow them, courtesy of the Early Act Club at Emma Havens Young Elementary School.
The club collected toys and made and decorated the Take a Toy, Return a Toy bin at Brick Beach III.

Early Act is a service club for elementary students, sponsored in schools by the local Rotary Clubs. The club aims to teach students respect, empathy, tolerance, caring, citizenship, compassion, responsibility, leadership, perseverance, friendship and teamwork. The hope is that they continue to give back to their communities as they grow older.
At Emma Havens Young Elementary, fifth grade students can join and make a year-long commitment to help others in the community. Kristy Soltmann and Kristen Carone are the club's advisers.

The bin was unveiled at Brick Beach III on June 17, with Brick Township Mayor Lisa Crate and Councilman Derrick Ambrosino joining the students and advisers at the beach.
"Thank you to EHY Early Act Club, Advisors Ms. Soltmann and Mrs. Carone for making and donating the sand toy bin that will be used by countless children attending the beach this summer," the township's Facebook page said in highlighting the donation.
