The Brick Township school district will premier its new website soon, schools officials said.
The site, which will be live by the time the schools come back from winter break, will be the fourth iteration of the Brick schools website, said Len Niebo, Director of Technology for the district.
Niebo said the district's website is important to parents, students and staff.

"It's a vital part of the everyday life of this district," he said. "If we took away www.brickschools.org, we'd probably have a mutiny on our hands."
The new site will be divided into two sections, each signifying functions of the online resource: "I Want To..." and "Tell Me About..." Those sections, through menus, will then be divided into functions for parents, community members and staff.

The goal of the redesign effort, Niebo said, was identifying the areas of the site which are used most by visitors.
"We tried to create better, more usable navigation," he said, explaining that the district's IT staff identified the top 20 functions of the site and made links to those areas prominent.
"It's our biggest public resource out there, and it's probably our most used resource," Niebo said, of the site.
