New Emma Havens School Dropoff Procedure Announced For Brick Parents
Parents dropping off and picking up their children at Emma Havens Young Elementary School have a new procedure to follow starting Monday.

BRICK, NJ — Parents who have been driving their children to school at Emma Havens Young Elementary School will have to follow a new procedure starting Monday, authorities announced.
Brick Township police said the new dropoff process is the result of discussions with school district officials after complaints about traffic on Drum Point Road during morning dropoff and after-school pick-up.
"The dropoff process will consist of parents parking in the back of the building in a parking space, and escorting their child to line up along the fence at the back of the building as early as 8:50 a.m.," police said in a post on the department's Facebook page. "The students will then be ushered into the school shortly thereafter."

"The pick-up process will be similar, with parents parking their vehicles in a parking space behind the building, exiting their vehicles and lining up along the fence as early as 3:20 p.m. Their children will be released to them shortly thereafter."
Police said school officials will be available to assist with directions and guidance until everyone gets used to the new process.
