NJSIAA Wrestling: Brick, Brick Memorial In Sectional Finals Tonight

Brick wrestling fans are faced with a dilemma tonight: Go watch Brick as the Dragons host Jackson Memorial in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV championship match, or head across town to Brick Memorial, where the Mustangs are hosting Howell in the South Jersey Group V final.

Brick Memorial, the top seed, beat Egg Harbor 61-11, in the sectional semifinal on Wednesday night. The Mustangs (18-1) are seeking their 15th sectional title, according to the Asbury Park Press. This is the first year of competition in Group V, which was added last year by a vote of the NJSIAA membership. Brick Memorial and Howell have dueled several times in the last few years.

The Dragons (18-4) will be seeking their fourth sectional title when they host the Jaguars (17-4) in a rematch of a regular-season meeting that Brick won on criteria, according to the Asbury Park Press report.

Both matches begin at 7 p.m.
