No Animals Found In Hot Cars By SPCA Enforcement Detail On Saturday

A dozen officers fanned out across the Jersey Shore from Point Pleasant to Island Beach State Park, but found no animals in distress.

It was a good day for animals, at least in a wide section of the Jersey Shore.

New Jersey SPCA officers volunteered eight hours of their time to look for animals left in hot cars from Point Pleasant to Island Beach State Park on July 18. They checked thousands of cars up and down the coast.

“NO animals, ZERO, were discovered left in cars,“ according to the NJSPCA Facebook page.

NJSPCA officers check year-round for dogs or cats. But Saturday was a well-advertised law enforcement details.

“ Thank you to all of the local police departments and animal control who were all involved in this detail,” the post states. ” Saturday was a good day for the animals at the Jersey Shore!! Thanks also to all who took the time to thank our officers throughout the day!”
