No Emergency Despite Police Cars At Brick School, Police Dept. Says
Brick police issued an alert to address potential worries from parents.

BRICK, NJ — If you are seeing a large number of Brick Township police vehicles at Drum Point Elementary School on Wednesday after, police said there is no cause for alarm.
The police department issued a Nixle alert about 1:30 p.m. saying there would be a number of police vehicles at the school "for a short period of time."
"There is NO EMERGENCY at the school at this time and no reason to be alarmed," the police department said in the alert.

The reason for all the vehicles?
"Drum Point School is doing a fundraiser to raise money for our bulletproof vests," said Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli, a spokesperson for the department. "We were there taking a photo showing our appreciation for their support to our department."
