National Weather Service again calling for moderate rip current risk.

The National Weather Service is again calling for a moderate risk of rip currents today in coastal Ocean County.
Waves will be three to four feet, with a surf temperature of 71 degrees.
A moderate rip current risk means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents, the NWS says.

“Always have a flotation device with you in the water, swim only in life-guarded areas,” the website states.
Today will be partly sunny with a high in the mid-80s, with a chance of thunderstorms.

Low tide at Barnegat Inlet will occur at 2:02 a.m. and 1:57 a.m. High tide will occur at 7:45 a.m. and 8:04 p.m.
