Ocean County Man Convicted Of Child Pornography Charges

Michael D. Miller of Lakewood was convicted Wednesday after a two-week trial.

An Ocean County man has been convicted on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography after a two-week trial in Monmouth County, the Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said Thursday.

Michael D. Miller, now of Lakewood, was found guilty by Superior Court Judge John R. Tassini of charges of fourth-degree possession of child pornography and second-degree distribution of child pornography in the case.

Miller was arrested in February 2012 at his home on Seeley Avenue in Keansburg after it was discovered he downloaded multiple files of child pornography via a peer-to-peer file-sharing network, and made files of child pornography available to others via peer-to-peer file-sharing software, the prosecutor’s office said.
