Ocean Medical Center Foundation Annual Golf Classic Raises Over $128,000

This year's Golf Classic saw 136 golfers compete in the tournament and raise money for the programs and services at Ocean Medical Center.

Ocean Medical Center Foundation raised over $128,000 during its 25th Annual Golf Classic on June 15 at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle. Led by event chair Rob Harms, this year’s Golf Classic saw 136 golfers compete in the tournament and raise money for the programs and services at Ocean Medical Center.

“I’ve been involved with Ocean Medical Center and this golf outing for many years, but this year’s event was a special one,” explains Rob Harms, event chair and CEO of George Harms Construction. “We had record attendance and saw our highest total dollars raised throughout the history of the event. We can’t thank the attendees, volunteers and sponsors enough for their outpouring of support and commitment to the health care of this community.”

During the reception, grateful patient and long-time Ocean Medical Center donor and volunteer, Kathi Mead, gave a heartfelt testimony to the cancer care treatment she received at Ocean Medical Center, recognizing her physician Peter Mencel, M.D. and making the event especially meaningful.
