OCEANFIRST FOUNDATION AWARDS $13,000. TO DOTTIE'S HOUSE
Funding To support the play therapy program
Brick, NJ, October 8, 2015, – Dottie’s House is pleased to announce it has received a $13,000 grant from the OceanFirst Foundation. These funds will support the Play Therapy Program.
Deb Galletta, Executive Director, stated she is very excited that OceanFirst Foundation has given us a grant for Play Therapy as it is one of the most commonly and effectively used interventions with children, particularly those who have suffered complex trauma such as witnessing and/or experiencing domestic violence. This grant allows us to implement Play Therapy into our program and help our children in their healing process
Carol Wolfe, Founder and COO of Dottie’s House expressed her gratitude to OceanFirst for recognizing the plight of these children and for continuing their support of this program, which according to the U.S. Department of Justice is one of only two similar programs in the USA.
