Pair Charged In TD Bank Robbery In Brick, Police Say

Joseph Mason from Staten Island and an accomplice from Brick who is accused of driving the getaway car are being held in jail, police said.

BRICK, NJ -- Apparently the wig didn't fool anyone.

A Staten Island man and a Brick Township woman have been arrested in connection with Monday's robbery of the TD Bank on Hooper Avenue, Brick Township police said Tuesday morning, thanks to numerous tips generated by social media.

Joseph Mason, 25, of Staten Island, and Caila Graciano, 21, of Brick have been charged with robbery in the incident, which happened shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, Sgt. Neal Pedersen said.

Mason is accused of entering the the bank and handing a teller a note demanding money, then running out of the bank with more than $500 cash and getting into a waiting vehicle, which Graciano was driving, Pedersen said.

Graciano is additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to Ocean County Jail records.

Bail was set at $75,000, no 10 percent option, for each by Municipal Court Judge Robert M. Lepore, and the pair are being held at the Ocean County Jail.
