Pickup Truck Ends Up In River After Boat Ramp Mishap: Brick PD
No one was injured in the incident that happened as the driver was trying to launch a boat, police said.

BRICK, NJ — A pickup truck had to be pulled from the water Thursday afternoon at Lightning Jack's Marina when the driver got out to check on the boat he was trying to launch into the Manasquan River, police said Friday.
There were no injuries in the incident, which happened about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sgt. James Kelly said.
The pickup truck's driver was backing down the boat ramp to launch a trailered boat at the marina off Ridge Road when he thought the boat was sliding off the trailer, Kelly said. The driver, who thought he had put the pickup in park, got out of the truck to check on the boat and trailer. As he did, the pickup started to roll backward down the ramp and the driver was unable to get back in the pickup to hit the brakes.

The truck, trailer and boat all went into the water, with the boat floating off the trailer and the pickup truck ended up completely submerged, Kelly said.
There was no damage to the boat or trailer, but the pickup truck was pulled from the water and towed to a local garage.
