Point Pleasant Students Honored As Unsung Heroes

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Three Point Pleasant students were among the honorees at the annual Unsung Hero Awards event of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The initiative honors children who have faced uncertainty or adverse circumstances, and have risen to the challenge with positivity and resolve, often with little to no recognition.

There were 28 honorees and their families, along with representatives of their schools at the event, held May 3 at RWJBarnabas Health Arena on the campus of Toms River High School North, where the students' stories, achievements, and strength were shared.

Point Pleasant Borough High School student Kagni Hostinsky and Vocational School students Matt Caccavano and John Fitzpatrick were honored from the Point Pleasant Schools.
