Police: Gun Sighting At Brick Target A Misunderstanding

A report of a customer carrying a gun at the Target on Route 70 in Brick on Sunday turned out to be a misunderstanding, Brick police said Monday.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, when a customer saw a gun on the belt of another customer and called Brick police.

Upon arrival, however, police found the customer with the gun was a law enforcement officer, who also had his badge properly displayed on his belt next to the gun, police said.
