Princeton Avenue Closing Friday Morning: Brick Police

The roadwork is to address an immediate issue, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Motorists who travel Princeton Avenue should be prepared for delays and detours on Friday morning due to an emergency road project, Brick Township police said Wednesday evening.

The closure and detours will begin at 8 a.m. Friday in the area of Parker Avenue, police said.

The closure initially was announced for Thursday, in a Nixle alert about 3 p.m. But in a followup alert about 8:45 p.m., police said a subcontractor scheduled to work on the repair was dealing with a mechanical issue and the work had to be pushed to Friday.
