BRICK, NJ — To make it easier for people to apply for Brick's Project Safe Lock, the township police department has set up an online link for applications.

The program was announced Tuesday night at the Brick Township Council meeting, and the police department has received a strong, positive response, the department said in a post on Facebook.

Project Safe Lock provides a free lock box that goes in a location known only to police and the homeowner to store a key to allow police access to the home in emergency situation where they do not get a response at the door.
