Proposed Route 88 Car Wash Application Hearing Postponed In Brick

BRICK, NJ — A hearing scheduled for Wednesday night before the Brick Township Board of Adjustment on a proposal for a car wash on Route 88 near the Laurelton Heights neighborhood has been postponed.

The application has faced significant opposition from the residents of Laurelton Heights over traffic congestion concerns.

The postponement was announced on the agenda for Wednesday's zoning board meeting, which is set for 7 p.m. The agenda also includes a hearing on a resident's application to replace the chain link fence around their property with vinyl fencing.

The application by JAC Operating LLC for the proposed car wash, which began being heard by the board at its July and September meetings, now is scheduled to go before the board again on Jan. 17, according to the agenda.
