Prosecutor's Office Seeking Public Input For Accreditation
Comments from community members on whether an agency meets best standards are sought as part of the process

As part of its efforts to achieve accreditation, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is scheduled for an on-site assessment to verify that it meets recognized professional best practices, and that assessment will include an opportunity for public comment.
Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas: the administrative function, the personnel function, the operations function, the investigative function, and the arrestee/detainee function.
A copy of the standards is available for inspection at the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, 119 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
