Quaker Steak & Lube of Brick and BlueClaws Charities Presented a Check to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia Last Month

On Friday, June 28, Quaker Steak & Lube – the award-winning casual-dining concept known for its Best Wings USA and more than 25 signature sauces – presented a check for $4,000 to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia. Through efforts with BlueClaws Charities, the funds were raised during an ALS Tip a Waiter fundraiser held at the restaurant on May 15. At the fundraiser, Lakewood BlueClaws players served as celebrity waiters and the coaches as bartenders. 20% of all bills and 100% of all proceeds from the event were donated directly to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia. BlueClaws Charities is the official non-profit foundation of the Lakewood BlueClaws and supports over 40 Community Partner organizations and hundreds of non-profit organizations and fundraising events each year. Quaker Steak & Lube and Doherty Enterprises, the local franchisee, is committed to giving back to the communities it serves, and each Doherty Enterprises restaurant stays engaged in its neighborhood through participation in community events, donations, sponsorships and fundraisers to help local organizations grow and flourish.
