Red Bank Woman Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run: Report

The driver, a Middletown woman, has been charged, according to the report.

RED BANK, NJ -- A Red Bank woman was hospitalized Monday night after a hit-and-run accident, according to a report.

NJ.com reported Zakiyyah Godsey, 20, of Red Bank, was crossing Newman Springs Road in the crosswalk about 7:15 p.m. when she was struck, Red Bank police Chief Darren McConnell said.

The driver of the car, Cecilia Adie, 66, of the Lincroft section, was on Shrewsbury Avenue and is accused of hitting Godsey as she tried to turn left onto Newman Springs Road, McConnell said.

A witness to the accident called police and gave a description of the car and the license plate number, the report said.
