Renovations Begin At Cedar Bridge Manor Park In Brick At Last

The neighborhood park is finally getting a makeover after years of effort by Brick Township to get approvals from the state.

BRICK, NJ — Renovations have begun at last at Cedar Bridge Manor Park, the last of Brick Township's neighborhood parks to receive a long-awaited makeover.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held on May 26 to officially kick off the work, which is being done under a $465,412 contract awarded to Robbie Lane Enterprises of Towaco.

The renovation plans for the park, on Manor Drive along the Metedeconk River, include two ADA-compliant playgrounds, exercise stations, and a kayak launch.

The project also will replenish the beach area and includes shoreline protection with the installation of rip rap.

Because the property sits on the water, the township needed more extensive permits from the state Department of Environmental Protection, and the approvals were delayed as state authorities conducted a search of the site for Native American artifacts. That search turned up nothing, Jersey Shore Online reported.

The work is anticipated to be completed later this year.
