Repub. idea would be good for NJ

Hey, Christie! The House of Representatives adopted a rule that prevents an officeholder from keeping 1 job while running for another.

The rules change means House committee chairmen would not be distracted from their legislative duties or other responsibilities while running for the Senate, governor or President.

That sure would be a good idea to rein in Gov. Christie’s absenteeism from our state -- ignoring displaced Shore homeowners still waiting for Sandy aid TWO YEARS later (as well as ignoring NJ’s high unemployment rate, high property taxes and all the state’s other problems). The only house Christie cares about is the White House!

He’s been out of state more than 100 days so far this year alone, while supposedly ”helping GOP governors” -- and actually running for the Republican Presidential nomination.

The bungled state aid programs for storm victims still aren’t being fixed by Christie. He merely blames others for his own mismanagement.

Just this week Christie revealed to an Iowa pig farmer that he’ll veto a NJ bill to stop animal cruelty here, because that’s what Iowa pig farmers want. Christie previously refused to comment on the NJ bill during any of the rare times he was in NJ, even though the vast majority of his state’s residents want it approved.

New Jerseyans learned about his plan to veto it from an Iowa news report. That proves where Christie’s priorities are.

It’s HIGH time he earned his governor’s salary, OR resigned and stayed out of NJ on the campaign trail. He can’t have it both ways.

We’d love him to go away, but he’d better not try to do the the nation what he’s done to our state!
