Restaurant Event Will Raise Funds For First Responders
The fundraiser will help the Tom Giannattasio Jr. Memorial Fund, which assists first responders financially with medical burdens.
BRICK, NJ -- The Tom Giannattasio Jr. Memorial Fund is holding a fundraiser Monday, Feb. 29, at Houlihan’s on Route 70, the group announced.
The fundraiser runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and you must present the flyer (attached to this article as a photo) to participate.
Tom Giannattasio Jr. worked with Liberty Health Care System (Jersey City Medical Center) Jersey City and Secaucus and Alert Ambulance in Lakewood as an EMT-D and was a member of Pioneer Hose Fire Company No. 1, Brick Township Underwater Rescue and Dive Team, Community First Aid Squad in Brick and Brick Elks 2151. He also served in the Army National Guard, according to the fund’s website. He died in October 1999 of a MRSA infection following a heart transplant, after battling congestive heart failure for more than a year.
