Rip Current Risk Remains High Today In Ocean County, Sheriff Warns
Beachgoers are warned to swim only at guarded beaches because of the danger, Ocean County Sheriff's office says,

If you are headed to the beach today in Ocean County, exercise caution, the Ocean County Sheriff’s office is warning.
The risk of rip currents remains high throughout the area, officials said.
“Please use caution when swimming in designated lifeguard areas,” the sheriff’s office said in a post on Facebook. “There are strong riptides presently which present many problems for even the strongest swimmers.”

If you get caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the beach until you are free of it.
