Road Paving, Repair Projects Coming In Brick

The police department said an Ocean County project on Herbertsville Road is expected to begin shortly, and others in the coming months.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police have a heads up for anyone traveling around the township in the coming months: be prepared for road projects.

The police department said the Ocean County Road, Engineering and Bridge departments released a list of roads that will be subject to closures, detours and other disruptions for a variety of projects.

"We understand traffic delays are frustrating," police said in a post on Facebook. "We ask everyone to please be patient, especially around the construction sites."

The projects are as follows. The dates of the projects have not been released yet.

  • Drum Point Road: Paving from Baywood Boulevard to the end
  • Cherry Quay Road: Paving and drainage
  • Burnt Tavern Road: Paving from Herborn Avenue to Stephen Road
  • Princeton Avenue: Sewer repair near Robbins Road
  • Herbertsville Road: Bridge repair between Hulse and Godfrey Lake drives

The Herbertsville Road work was anticipated to begin within a few days, Brick Township police said. It will involve alternating traffic.
