RUE21 TO OPEN AT OCEAN COUNTY MALL

Simon’s Ocean County Mall announced today that rue21, one of the fastest growing fashion retail brands in the country, will open this holiday season. The 4,800 foot store will be located next to JCPenney.
“rue” comes from the French word for “street” while “21” embodies the age that everyone wants to be. Inspired by the spirit and style of one of the best times in life, rue21’s stores are designed for guys and girls looking for fashion that’s modern, trendy and affordable.

“rue21’s merchandise appeals to an important category among our shopper base so we expect it will be a great addition to our growing retail lineup,” said Tara Melodick, director of marketing and business development at Ocean County Mall. “We look forward to welcoming rue21 when it opens later this fall.”

Headquartered just north of Pittsburgh, PA, rue21 has over 1,000 stores in 47 states. Included among its exclusive brands are tarea (girls’ lingerie and yoga wear), rue21 etc! (girls’ shoes and accessories), ruebeauté! (girls’ fragrance and beauty), CARBON elements (guys’ shoes and accessories), and its newest line, ruebleu Swim.

Since last fall, Ocean County Mall has introduced a number of new retailers to its exceptional lineup. Among the stores that can now be found there are Kay Jewelers, Pandora, Victoria’s Secret PINK, Tilly’s, Skechers, L’Occitane en Provence and Icing. Toys”R”US Express is slated to open in the coming weeks as well. In addition, three new eateries – Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza, Bahama Breeze Island Grille and Ichiban -- have joined long-time family favorite Applebee’s to make Ocean County Mall a popular draw within the Toms River dining scene.
