The three people are accused of using homemade $10 coupons that have UPC bar codes which are fooling the self-scan registers, according to Brick police. The vouchers are being scanned at several locations in Brick and Toms River multiple times a day. The suspects are walking away with several hundred dollars each day in unpaid merchandise, police said. Stop and Shop has been the primary target, Brick police said.

“The female pictured here was recently discovered in video surveillance with the female suspect from June 1,” police said. “She is observed trying to cash out a large order of paper products and cleaning supplies at the register, but was stopped by a store employee. She left the items at the register and subsequently left the store before the employee could identify her. She is observed leaving the store with the female suspect already identified on June 1.”
