Secret Videos From Brick Home's Bathroom Posted Online: Officials

BRICK, NJ —Authorities say a Matawan man took videos of five women and a teenage girl with a camera hidden in the bathroom of a Brick Township home and posted the videos on an adult website.

Michael Mattina, 54, of Matawan has been charged with manufacturing child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the 16-year-old girl; five counts of invasion of privacy for recording videos of the five women; six counts of invasion of privacy for posting the videos, and distribution of obscene materials. The charges were announced jointly by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio.

Authorities did not say how the videos came to light, or how many were taken and posted. Mattina is accused of hiding the camera in the bathroom of the home.

Mattina was arrested Monday and processed at Brick Township Police Headquarters, then released on a summons pending a future court appearance, authorities said.

Brick Township detectives and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit investigated.
