Senior Beach Parking Fee Change Up For Vote In Brick
The Brick Township Council also is set to approve a change in fees at Traders Cove; it is scheduled to meet Friday morning.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Council is scheduled to vote on an ordinance that will change the way parking is charged to senior citizens at its beaches at its meeting Friday morning.
The council meeting is set for 10 a.m. Friday at the municipal building 401 Chambers Bridge Road, and is the final meeting of 2023.
The council agenda includes a number of resolutions, including one to change the fees at Traders Cove in addition to the ordinance changing the senior beach parking fees.

Currently those 65 and older can get a season parking pass for $15, good for parking at the ocean beach parking lots from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is no senior rate for daily parking.
Under the ordinance scheduled for a second reading and final vote, a $1 daily fee for parking for seniors would be established.

The Traders Cove resolution is setting fees for the 2024 season, including:
Summer slip fees- Up to 25 feet: $100 per foot
- 26 feet and over: $110 per foot
- Frog hooks: $800
- Slips under 9 feet wide: $1,500 for the season
Residents receive a $5 discount per foot and proof of residency is required.
Summer jet ski docks: $800 per dock, with Easy Glide jet ski ports at $1,000 for the season.
Transient dock fees: The town is adding a fee level for boats 21 feet or less, of $25 per night.
