Sensory Friendly Film Showings Increased at AMC Brick Plaza
The "Sensory Friendly Films" program offers individuals living with autism a chance to watch films in a safe and accepting environment.

BRICK, NJ -- AMC Theatres and the Autism Society have teamed up to offer the “Sensory Friendly Films” program where individuals living with autism and others can watch films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis.
The AMC Loews Brick Plaza 10 theater is participating in this program, which has expanded its schedule of Sensory Friendly Films to four showings per month – the second and fourth Tuesday and Saturday.
“In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum, the movie auditorium keeps their lights slightly up and the sound slightly down,” AMC Theatres said in a release. “Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing. Because some have strict, special dietary needs, families are permitted to bring their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks from home.”
