Severe Thunderstorm Warning Announced For Ocean County
Breaking: The line of thunderstorms are packing wind gusts of 60 mph, forecasters say.
A line of intense thunderstorms is moving through Ocean County as of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, prompting a severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service.
In addition to heavy rain, the storms are packing sustained winds of 40 mph with gusts of up to 60 mph, the warning said.
"Numerous downed trees and wires have been reported from these storms" in southeastern Pennsylvania, the National Weather Service said, quoting trained spotters.
