BRICK, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Health Care
Relationship to nominee: Grandmother
Reason for recognition: She is a student in nursing school, at Georgian Court University. In March she was working full time as a nursing assistant in the intensive care unit at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.
One thing to know: Gabby is only 20 years old, put on all the medical garb, and stayed in the rooms with patients on vents and tried to give them hope.
