Six Flags Great Adventure Closed After Storm
Park officials noted Jackson authorities declared a state of emergency in the township; trees and wires are down in several areas.

JACKSON, NJ — Six Flags Great Adventure and the park's Wild Safari are closed Sunday as the town cleans up after Saturday's severe storm.
Nearly 9,000 homes and businesses were without power and some main roads are closed due to downed wires Sunday morning. The Ocean County Sheriff's Office and Jackson police both have urged people to stay off the roads in the township as a result.
The National Weather Service on Sunday confirmed a tornado had touched down in Jackson. Details on the tornado's path and strength were anticipated to be released later in the day.

Park officials announced the closure about 9 a.m., noting Jackson officials declared a state of emergency in the township.
"We anticipate reopening Wednesday, April 5, for Spring Break," park officials said.
