Six Flags Great Adventure Guests Stuck On Rides Amid Power Outage
The power outage lasted 2 minutes, but was enough to disrupt rides all over the park.

JACKSON, NJ — A short power outage trapped people on rides briefly at Six Flags Great Adventure on Monday but there were no injuries, park personnel said.
The power outage lasted two minutes, said Kristin Fitzgerald, Six Flags spokeswoman. The power to the park went out at 12:30 p.m. and was restored by 12:32 p.m.
The outage stopped rides all over the park, and Fitzgerald said most riders were escorted from the affected rides by 12:47 p.m. The final ride was cleared at 12:55 p.m.

The rides were in the process of reopening or had reopened by 1:30 p.m., she said.
Fitzgerald said Jersey Central Power & Light officials told the park the outage originated from the company's Cookstown station and the company was working to correct the issue. A message seeking additional details from JCP&L was not immediately returned.
