Small Acts of Kindness Make a Huge Difference…

Ocean Medical Center Association recently made a donation to Mother Hen Fund at Ocean Medical Center

Especially for oncology patients and their families. That’s why Regina Dooros, who lost her husband John to cancer in 2011, together with the Ocean Medical Center Association, recently made a donation to The Mother Hen fund at Ocean Medical Center. The Mother Hen Fund helps cancer patients with various needs during treatment, such as transportation to and from therapy, so they can focus more on healing, and less on financial challenges.

Funds were raised for this recent donation through the Ocean Medical Center Association’s John Dooros 5K Run/Walk & Kids’ 1-Mile Fun Run, led by Regina Dooros. Through their efforts, they were able to donate $5,000 during Ocean Medical Center Foundation’s annual donor appreciation reception that took place on May 18. Members of the community can contribute to cancer services at Ocean Medical Center by visiting meridianhealth.com/GIVE.
