Snow Days Push Back Brick Graduations, Last Day Of School
The Class of 2018 at Brick Memorial and Brick Township high schools will have graduation ceremonies on June 20.

BRICK, NJ — High school seniors who are counting down the days at Brick Memorial and Brick Township high schools will have to count a few more, after the Brick Township Board of Education approved changes to the 2017-18 school calendar.
The district is adding its four snow days to the end of the school year. The last day of school is now June 20, and for seniors who are graduating, that will be the date of the commencement ceremony as well.
Graduation ceremonies at both high schools are scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, said Susan McNamara, director of curriculum and instruction. In past years, the two ceremonies have had staggered start times, but this year they are set to go off simultaneously.

The district's last day originally had been set for June 14, but snowstorms in early January and in March resulted in four closures.
