Snow Makes For Four-Day Weekend For Brick Students
As the snow finally stopped falling Thursday evening, officials announced the closure. Read how that affects the school calendar.

The accumulating snow that had dropped more than 7 inches on Brick as of 6:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, led school officials to close schools for Friday.
Both the Brick Township School District and St. Dominic School canceled classes for Friday. St. Dominic officials additionally announced that bingo at the school is canceled.

Brick Township students will be faced with a longer school year, as the district calendar had three emergency closure days built in, and Friday’s closure will be the fourth snow day. The school year had been scheduled to end June 18, but that likely will be pushed back to June 19 to meet the required 180 days.
