SPAN Offers Free Workshop For Families With Special Needs Children
The program, at the Manchester schools' Regional Day School, offers guidance on how to access programs and services.

If you are the parent of a special needs child and need help in finding services for them, a free workshop will show you where to turn and how to obtain the best services for their loved ones.
Sponsored by Statewide Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN), and organized by Nicole Pratt, project coordinator and senior parent & professional development trainer, the May 6 workshop will go over resources available in New Jersey. They will provide an overview of government agencies, educational programs, community service providers, and disability-specific organizations. Information on how to access these programs and services will also be provided.
A detailed overview of SPAN, the federally funded Parent Training & Information center, will also be shared. The center aims to help families know their rights and best practices to ensure that those with special needs receive the proper services to have a productive life. More information on this can be found here.
