State Banking Commissioner Visits BTHS

Acting Commissioner Ken Kobylowski advised students about how to avoid common economic pitfalls during a financial literacy presentation at on Friday.

Kobylowski hit on three main themes during his presentation to the senior class: savings and budgeting, credit card practices and cautious use of social media.

"The financial decisions you make in the next few years will affect the rest of your life," Kobylowski told students.

Following the event he took questions from both students and staff about debit cards, saving accounts and online bill payments.

The stop at BTHS is one of many for the commissioner, who has been touring schools across the state on a regular basis.
