Rip Currents Prompt 'Stay Out Of The Water' Warning From Brick Police
Rip currents continue to pose a serious danger to swimmers, and lifeguards are not on duty now that school has started.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are urging people to stay out of the water Tuesday as dangerous rip currents continue to be a threat along the Jersey Shore.
Brick Township does not have lifeguards on duty after Labor Day.
"There were multiple water rescues over the weekend in neighboring towns due to dangerous swimming conditions," the police department said. "Thank you to the Brick Township lifeguards who did a tremendous job protecting our beaches this year during the summer season."

The National Weather Service has a rip current warning in effect through Tuesday evening.
