BRICK, NJ — Summer has arrived, and that means it's time for Brick Township's SummerFest and Traders Cove conerts.

The concerts are free to attend. Bring your chairs and blankets; bring a picnic and spend a relaxing night out. All four SummerFest concerts include fireworks displays, weather permitting.

SummerFest begins Thursday, July 5, with a performance by Jessie's Girl, which will take you back to the 1980s with performances covering a variety of the era's iconic music and its members costumed like the stars who performed them.

On July 12, it's Saved by the 90s, with everything from Nirvana to the Backstreet Boys. Remember how you partied before it was 1999.

July 19 features Garden State Radio, which is equal parts light show and music. They play "everything you know and love, bringing to life the biggest multi-genre anthems of the '80s, '90s, 2000s and today."

On July 26, it's crowd favorite The Amish Outlaws. The band, formed primarily of men who chose to leave the Amish life when they were teenagers, plays a variety of music from Lady Gaga to Bon Jovi to Elvis Presley. (If you haven't seen them, we highly recommend them.)

SummerFest concerts are held at Windward Beach Park. The concernts begin at 6:30 p.m. but the park is open sooner and has food trucks, a beer and wine garden for those 21 or older and vendors.

Shuttle buses are available for concertgoers due to limited parking at the park. They depart from Brick Township High School on Chambersbridge Road, Drum Point Elementary School on Drum Point Road and Midstreams Elementary School on Midstreams Road beginning at 5 p.m. and will take concertgoers until 8 p.m. Return trips from Windward Beach begin at 9 p.m. and continue until everyone has been returned to their vehicles.

In August, the Traders Cove Marina concert series begins. Those concerts are held on Thursdays as well and are part of the Brick Township Cultural Art Series.

On Aug. 1, it's Bobby Bandiera. The rock guitarist and New Jersey native has performed with Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Gary U.S. Bonds, Southside Johnny and many more, and has solo albums as well.

Aug. 8, Motor City Revue rolls into town with its repertoire of popular and rare Motown hits.

Aug. 15 features Tim McLoone & The Shirleys, performing a range of music that blends rhythm and blues, classic rock, country, and Broadway, "with a healthy does of 'girl group' attitude," according to the group's website.

On Aug. 22, Basso Brothers, a local band that plays a number of venues including spots in Seaside Heights and Seaside Park, will perform.
