Take A Stand Against Crime At National Night Out In Brick

Come out to Windward Beach Park Tuesday night for the annual National Night Out Against Crime celebration.

The celebration will include the 18th Youth Police Camp graduation and Kids Night Celebration.

It begins at 6 p.m. and will include numerous displays and exhibits designed to educate residents about law enforcement and what the Brick Township Police Department is doing to protect the community. There will be face painting, slides, games and exhibits, and WJRZ will be on hand.

For Kids Night, various organizations and businesses that serve young people will be on hand to host games and distribute information to families, Sgt. Larry Petrola said.

The highlight of the evening is the graduation ceremony of the annual Police Camp. The graduation begins at 7 p.m.

Chief Bergquist said, “It’s an opportunity for all citizens to reinforce an already great relationship between the community and their police department. Come out and enjoy the night and let the bad guys know we work together.”
