TD Bank Raising Funds For Injured Toms River Police Officer

Brett Hansen of Brick, who was injured in an off-duty crash, faces a long recovery.

BRICK, NJ — As the recovery continues for a Toms River police officer and Brick Township resident who was seriously injured in an off-duty crash in early January, a local bank has announced a fundraiser to help his family with the mounting medical bills.

TD Bank, at seven area branches, will be accepting donations to assist Brett Hansen, the police officer who was injured in that crash on the Garden State Parkway.

Desiree Martins, the manager of the Point Pleasant branch, said the donation event, part of TD Bank's "Bring Change" program, will run from Feb. 27 through March 3.
