BRICK, NJ — Thanksgiving week brings changes to schedules in Brick Township. Here's what to know for the holiday week.

The Brick Township Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick.

The agenda for Tuesday includes the first reading of an ordinance to appropriate $390,000 for the township to purchase vacant land on Herbertsville Road. The lots to be purchased are next to land already owned by the township.

Township offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Thursday, and collections will be pushed back one day, with Thursday pick-ups collected Friday and Friday collections completed Saturday.
